Remote African Travel Expert

Core hours for the role are Mon – Fri 9am – 5.30pm, however some flexibility will be required on occasion outside this.\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity to join an ambitious independent travel company in a fully remote role, offering specialist focus whilst working with high value clients, so if this role is of interest to you, please apply online.\n\nRole of African Travel Expert:\n\n * Managing inbound sales enquiries from initial contact through to booking confirmation\n\n * Proactive follow-up of enquiries and conversion to confirmed bookings\n\n * Creating detailed, bespoke travel proposals tailored to individual client requirements\n\n * Providing expert destination advice and itinerary planning\n\n * Building and maintaining strong private client relationships through personal touchpoints\n\n * Encouraging repeat business and referrals through exceptional service\n\n * Achieving and exceeding monthly and annual sales targets\n\n * Building relationships with ground operators, DMCs, and travel partners\n\n * Participating in familiarisation trips to enhance destination knowledge\n\n * Contributing to marketing initiatives, content creation, and social media\n\n * Handing over to admin and accounts team once booking is converted - no ongoing admin required\n\nSkills required for the role:\n\n * Extensive personal travel experience across Africa (Tanzania, Kenya, Botswana, Namibia, Rwanda, Uganda, South Africa, etc.)\n\n * Deep knowledge of safari experiences, gorilla trekking, wildlife viewing, wilderness camps, and soft adventure activities\n\n * Understanding of ground operators, safari camps, lodges, and specialist travel providers across the continent\n\n * Proven track record in successful travel sales with demonstrable results and conversion rates\n\n * Experience handling high-value bookings\n\n * Ability to manage consultative sales processes with extended sales cycles\n\n * Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets\n\n * Experience creating detailed, bespoke travel proposals and itineraries\n\n * Ability to build and maintain private client relationships through personal touchpoints\n\nIf you’re interested in learning more about this African Travel Expert role, please press the apply online button now!\n\nNot for you?
